Valerie LeBlanc is a Pluri-disciplinary Canadian artist and writer. Her creations travel between image/text, moving images, performance and theory. LeBlanc is an MFA
graduate, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Times Arts,1993 and she was a Faculty Member in the Media Arts + Digital Technologies, AU Arts, 2000-2007. After beginning a Research PhD—Doctor of Philosophy in the Visual Arts, University of Sydney, AU (2013), LeBlanc returned to work in Moncton, New Brunswick.
 
LeBlanc is the creator of the MediaPackBoard (MPB), a portable screening/performance device that she used to present across Canada and internationally from 2005 to 2015.
 
She recently presented the video conference, Notations from the Edge of the Anthropocene during Mourning Arcadia: Afterlives of the Pastoral Elegy in the Literature
and the Arts of the English-Speaking World at the Université de Picardie – Jules Verne, Campus de la Citadelle, Amiens, France. March 13th-14th 2025.
