Fernande Chouinard lives in Tracadie, New Brunswick. She has a degree in Education and worked as a teacher, vice-principal, social studies consultant in the Department of Education, and director of education in the Francophone Nord-Est school district. She was part of the team that wrote the first textbook for Francophone schools in the Maritimes, Les Maritimes: trois provinces à découvrir, and the accompanying teaching guide. She has been an organizational development and labour relations consultant since she retired from education.
