Guillaume Lavoie was born in Moncton and lives in Caraquet, New Brunswick. In addition to being a professional translator for the last ten years, he has been a drummer in different bands, including Désir et Fils and Les Hôtesses d'Hilaire. Les oiseaux sacrifiés (Éditions Perce-Neige, 2023) is his first book of poetry.
