Georgette LeBlanc holds a doctorate from the Université de Louisiane à Lafayette. She went on to publish a cycle of free verse novels, Alma (2007), Amédé (2010), Prudent (2013) (finalist for the Governor General's Award in poetry) and le Grand Feu (2016), with Éditions Perce-Neige. His literary translation Océan (2019) from English into Acadian French, won him the Governor General's Literary Award in 2021. Her collection, Petits poèmes sur mon père qui est mort, is launched in spring 2022 by Éditions Perce-Neige. Georgette LeBlanc is a lecturer in creative writing in the Department of French Studies at the Université de Moncton.
