Barb Wire has the same energy as your Acadian aunt who likes to dance in the kitchen. For the past 5 years, Barb Wire has been traveling all over New Brunswick, from the north of the province to the south, with a few visits to Nova Scotia too! She loves performing in small Acadian communities, bringing joy and queer pride to these wonderful areas of the province. Barb Wire is an Acadian drag queen who knits and crochets (just like her grandmother taught her), except that instead of using her grandmother’s patterns, Barb makes crochet pieces for drag, inspired by ideals of femininity, extraterrestrials, creatures, art and Acadian culture. She is known for her energetic and often humorous performances.
