A full professor in the Department of Literary Studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Bertrand Gervais is director of NT2, created in 2004, and principal investigator of the SSHRC partnership Littérature québécoise mobile (2019-2024). In 2022, he took over as director of Figura, the Centre de recherche sur les théories et les pratiques de l'imaginaire. In 2018, he received the Award of Excellence for Informatics in the Arts and Humanities from the Canadian Society for Digital Humanities, and was elected to the Royal Society of Canada's Academy of Arts, Humanities and Sciences. He has just published Au bout des doigts. Figure, lecture et imaginaire, published by Codicille éditeur (2023), as well as Un imaginaire de la fin du livre. Littérature et écrans, published by Presses de l'Université de Montréal (2023). With Sophie Marcotte, he also edited the collective Archiver le présent. Imaginaire de l'exhaustivité, published by Presses de l'Université Laval (2023).
