What:
Talk
When:
4:00 PM, Wednesday 20 Mar 2024 (1 hour)
Where:
Université de Moncton - Centre d'études acadiennes - local 178

A personal look at how a move to Moncton at the start of my highschool years in the late 80’s permanently shaped my outlook on life and art. How a unique mixture of French and English, punk music and visual art, and a pre-internet do-it-yourself cultural community placed New Brunswick and more specifically Moncton simultaneously on the outside edge of popular culture and also in the middle of something unique and new. And is that independent, DIY, punk, creative impulse still relevant in a life lived more and more online where AI has become more powerful and ever-present?
