
Originally from Pointe-Alexandre (New Brunswick), writer Joanie Duguay now lives in the port city of Saint John. In 2006, she won the Prix Antonine-Maillet Acadie Vie award in the youth category. She has written three children’s books, including Zim s'imagine (Bouton d’or Acadie, 2013), and Maya and Mitaine (Chocolate River Publishing, 2016). La jig du carrousel (Éditions Perce Neige, 2022) is her first poetry collection.
