Samuel LeBlanc is a researcher with the Donald J. Savoie Institute. His primary research subjects are currently the economy, the environment, and education, although he has previously focused on culture, innovation, and globalization. More specifically, he has analyzed the impacts of economic theories and practice on education and studied the role of climate change and collapse on the economy. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Galerie Sans Nom, and was a founding member of the contemporary music festival RE:FLUX. He was assistant professor at the Université de Moncton for 15 years, an economist in the private sector, and teacher. He holds a doctorate in education from the University of New Brunswick (2019), a master’s degree in economics (Université de Montréal, 1997), and bachelor’s degrees in education (Université de Moncton, 2011), in philosophy (McGill, 2000), and economics (Université de Moncton, 1995).
