Denis M. Boucher hails from Shippagan, on New Brunswick's Acadian Peninsula. He holds a master's degree in psychology from the Université de Moncton, and worked for several years in schools before moving into graphic design and advertising. An incurable reader since childhood, he decided in 2002 to take up children's literature. His very first novel, Le monstre du lac Baker, won the Prix littéraire Hackmatack - Le choix des jeunes. The success of this first experience encouraged him to continue, and six other titles have since been added to the Les aventures des Trois Mousquetaires series. He is now back at his alma mater, this time as Director of Student Recruitment at the Université de Moncton, and lives in Dieppe, New Brunswick with his wife and two daughters.
