Salon du livre de Dieppe

The Salon du livre de Dieppe is a cultural event dedicated to the book and the written word that extends over several days. It has been known under different names over the years: La Fureur de lire, Salon du livre - La Fureur de lire and Salon du livre - Fureur de lire de Dieppe. It is only in 2002 that it took the name Salon du livre de Dieppe. Despite its name, the Salon's influence extends far beyond the Dieppe urban area; consider, for example, the author tour that takes place in all the schools of the District scolaire francophone Sud and the many visitors from all over southeastern New Brunswick. It is an event that, in an Anglophone majority environment, is of primary importance for both Francophones and Francophiles.
