Émilie Turmel was born in Montreal in 1988 and has been living in Moncton since 2018. She previously worked at Québec’s Maison de la littérature, at the festival Québec en toutes lettres, and the Frye Festival, and she is now Éditions Perce-Neige’s Literary Director. A multidisciplinary artist, she also practices printmaking, and has been participating in public readings and literary events for about a decade. Émilie Turmel is the author of Casse-gueules (René-Leynaud award winner, Émile-Nelligan award finalist), and Vanités (Louise-Labé award winner), published in 2018 and 2020 with Éditions Poètes de brousse. Her third book, Berceuses, is forthcoming on August 29 from the same publisher.
