Sophie Ruest

Emerging artist, freshly graduated from the Université de Moncton in Dramatic Art, Sophie aspires to travel with her art. Passionate about social crises, her primary goals in creating are to make people think and to convey emotions. As an actress and stage manager, you've had the chance to see Sophie perform in departmental productions, Ubu Roi, Kick and Fahrenheit 451. She took part in the 11th Festival à haute voix, performing a text by Brigitte Lavallée.

She gained experience as a stage manager working with the Dansencorps company.

After graduating, the artist flew to Europe to experience new cultures. They returned in Acadie with a desire to tell stories and recreate with the community. You can catch her in a co-production of Vieille 17 and Théâtre Populaire d'Acadie in fall 2024.

For the time being, Sophie is developing other skills and laughing while working at the festival.
