Martin Rioux was born and grew up in Dieppe. Having travelled to study and work, Martin came back home in 2021 and settled in Memramcook, where he lives with his husband and hopes to raise a family. Martin holds a B.A. in political science from the Université Laval (2007), common law and civil law degrees from McGill University (2011) and is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick (2012). Since 2014, Martin has worked in the labour movement as a lawyer, a negotiator and now as a Pension and Benefits Officer at the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).
