On July 8, 2020, the Conseil des ministres of the Government of Quebec appointed Ms. Maud-Andrée Lefebvre as Chief Representative of the Bureau du Québec dans les provinces atlantiques, effective August 24, 2020. Ms. Lefebvre has extensive experience both at the international level and in the field of Francophonie. Since 2018, Ms. Lefebvre was in charge of the Direction de la Francophonie et de la Solidarité internationale at the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec. Having worked for fifteen years within this ministry, where she fulfilled several mandates in the various directorates, her rich and diversified career path led her to direct the Quebec offices in China from 2013 to 2015 before being appointed Director of the Asia-Pacific Directorate in 2016.
Ms. Lefebvre holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in international relations from the Université de Montréal and Université Laval, respectively, and also completed a certificate in East Asian studies at the Centre for East Asian Studies (CETASE) at the Université de Montréal. She is a member of the 2017 Georgetown Leadership Seminar cohort (Georgetown University - Washington) and the 11th cohort of the Circle of Young Leaders in Government.
