Sonya Malaborza

Sonya Malaborza, based in Galloway, translates poetry, fiction and drama. Her work includes the French version of Ami McKay's The Birth House (L'accoucheuse de Scots Bay, Prise de parole, 2020), nominated for the Governor General's Literary Awards in 2020, and the Éloizes in 2022.
Icare, chute d'oiseaux, her translation of Icarus, Fall of Birds by Harry Thurston and Thaddeus Holownia, was published in 2022 by Goose Lane Editions.
Prendre racine, her first publication as an author, will be published in september 2023 with Prise de parole.
