Originally from Belgium, Julie Gillet holds a master's degree in journalism. She has been an activist for social justice and equality for nearly 15 years, working in the non-profit sector while focusing on feminist and environmental issues. She regularly publishes columns on these themes in various media in the Canadian Francophone community. She now lives in Moncton, where she serves as Executive Director of the Regroupement féministe du Nouveau-Brunswick. In her spare time, she reads whatever she can get her hands on and writes poetry.
