Join us at Salle Bernard LeBlanc on Sunday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m. for a café-croissant roundtable discussion with the guest artist for the 2024 edition of the Épistola project, Céline Huyghebaert, in conversation with writer Pamela Mulloy and Alisa Arsenault. The roundtable will be presented in the participants' preferred language, English and French.
Céline Huyghebaert is an artist, a writer and a researcher. She works at the intersection of literature and visual art through prints, zines, books, exhibitions and collaborations. In 2019, she won the Governor General’s Literary Award for French-language Fiction for her first novel, Le drap blanc, published by Le Quartanier, and she was awarded the Bronfman Fellowship in Contemporary Art. Born in France, she has been living in Montréal since 2002.
Céline is currently in creative residency on the VIA Rail Canada train, with stops in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and Moncton from April 2 to 12. Following these trips, Céline will be in residence at the Imago print studio from April 12 to 30.
Céline will also present the exhibition "Si cette peau venait à se rompre" on the exhibition wall of the Atelier d'estampe Imago (1st floor of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre) from April 5 to 29. The vernissage will take place on April 26 from 5pm to 7pm.
